As a former professional athlete, I have had my fair share of injuries.  I had to have scar tissue removed 17 years ago from a strained achilles tendon that had torn.  It was a long and tough recovery.  This time, when the “healthy” achilles was in distress and was diagnosed with a 30% tear in it, I was terrified.  I have worked with Dr Robert’ for over 5 years and have used PRP on my knees and shoulder, with very good results.  This success is why I chose to have PRP injected into my achilles as the primary treatment rather than surgery.  After the initial treatment, rest and some therapy, I was cleared to resume my workouts and outdoor rigorous sporting activities.  I am 20 months post treatment and have no signs of weakness or discomfort.  I would encourage others in similar situations to try PRP on their Achilles.

Cheers,
